Questions?

We've noticed that there's a really long lag when working with invoices.  If we click an item and then "Mark as Fully Paid" there is such a long delay before the view updates that I often have to hit refresh in my browser.  Does anyone know if this is being addressed by XTRF?  This only started happening after the latest update.

I could not find a search option for the cheapest vendor or one with best rates.

We currently use Smart Projects and Memsource. Because of the lack of integration between the two systems, we're considering switching to MemoQ. 

Could anyone share their experiences using the MemoQ - Smart Projects integration? What works, what doesn't, what are the limitations? Any suggestions on this?

I'm considering moving from the XTRF OnCloud service to a self-hosting model. My two biggest reasons for that is 1) some of my clients require all files reside in the US, so a Germany-based host doesn't work and their Canadian option is kinda-sort-of passable, but not ideal. and 2) The OnCloud is explicitly not HIPAA compliant, and while I'm not HIPAA certified (and am not going to be) it raises enough red flags for a few of my clients that it makes me want to control my hosting environment more closely. Having said that, I would rather not add another complex process or cost to the mix. 

So... How are everyone's experiences with self-hosting? How challenging is doing updates? What are your reasons for self-hosting vs oncloud? What limitations have you experienced with self-hosting? Has anyone transitioned from onCloud to Self, or Self to OnCloud and have experiences to share?

I would love to hear thoughts and feedback.

Wondering how other users employ the branch functionality. Do you use headquarters for vendors and clients, or is there different information that you display to different groups? I'm wondering if our setup is unnecessarily complicated by having multiple branches to choose from when onboarding clients and vendors. 

I feel like I may be missing something straightforward... but...

How do you create a new job (smart projects) via API? I can create projects, create payables, update jobs, add vendors... but I don't see how to create a job. I can get job details...

What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.

I've recently changed the header of my notification emails to providers to display certain project info.
The expression tag ${job.shortDescription} displays the languages requested for a project but not in alphabetical order, which is something my provider requested in order to process the file quicker on their side.
Is there another expression tag or multiple ones I can use to obtain this order in the header? 

You have a new Job: [Job code], [Job name], [Languages in A-Z order], [Job Type]

Also is there an expression tag list I can refer to that shows a preview of how the info are going to be displayed?

We would like to request the Double Booking Alert functionality with the Planned Start Date and Planned deadline fields.

This is because that field reflects the actual time when the Vendor is busy and this is the useful information we need to prepare our reports and plan our workflow.

I think this should be easy to implement, as it wouldn't require to code much.

Other fields only reflect the time on which we created the event and not the actual time the vendor is busy interpreting or translating.

We do use the User Groups to manage access permissions... but we'd love to be able to limit access to specific clients. 

Example... we have 10 PMs but only three of them work on client X. Client X has specific privacy requirements. Can we set user rights so only the three PMs have access to Client X's projects/files?

I don't think this is possible, so maybe it should be in the 'suggestions' area.

Can we designate general location of cloud hosting? Or is Germany the only location?

We could benefit from having servers in the US. Any thoughts or would that only be self hosting?
