How to add CAT analysis percentages to each specific client?
Hello Everyone,
You know that we might not always use the same percentages for pricing for each client. We might agree on special percentages with a client and we want to define these for each specific client instead of seeing the same percentages at all clients while doing the assignments. How can we do that? Can you please help us?
Mass deletion of projects?
We're testing out some API connectivity and we just added 120 fake projects by accident. Oops.
Not a huge deal, but as an administrator, I was just wondering if there is a way to mass delete projects.
I do remember that we have come a long way because I CAN delete project. :)
Question about the API - Project Creation and Custom Fields
I have two questions that maybe someone here has experience with.
First, I'm trying to create projects via the API, and it seems that you need to have multiple calls to create a project. Seems you need to...
- Create the project
- Update the source language
- Update the target language
- Update the notes
- Update the due date
- etc....
Rather than just a single call where you list all the fields to update.
Is this correct? Am I doing something wrong? This seems like it's more work and more calls than necessary, but maybe it's just the way it is??
Second, I'm trying to update a custom field that contains date and time. However, it seems that the API only supports custom fields that are text fields - not date/time fields. Before I spend more time with trial and error, does anyone know if I'm correct or if we're just doing something wrong?

Client Review
Hello! Is anyone using Client Review feature in XTRF Customer Portal?
I have enabled it in the client's profile, but I am trying to add this step to the workflow graph, in the end, and the system is not letting me assign the client's profile to it.
I also added the widget to Client Portal, so the client can see all the projects waiting for final approval. But I am confused how to handle it on the Home Portal - in the workflow definition level.

Language based surcharge (PM fee)
Is it possible to automatically apply a surcharge for specific target languages?
Hi Olga
I'm afraid it is not possible to have a surcharge for a language combination that would be applied automatically after task creation.
Automatic surcharges are only available on the client price profile level, which means those are applied automatically to all languages in the project/quote.
If it would be possible to calculate that surcharge into the basic rate I'd suggest raising the service basic rates for those selected languages in a way that would compensate the auto surcharge.

Vendor Emails going to Promotions section of email?
We just had two vendors today tell us that our vendor request emails just started going to the 'promotions' section of their email making them more likely to be missed. I assume they use Gmail.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there anything you can do to reduce this likelihood? FYI, we use the hosted XTRF.

Crisis - no access to vendor portal. Anyone else?
I'm curious. THis morning we can't log onto the vendor portal nor can many (or all???) of our vendors. We're on the hosted solution. Is anyone else having this issue?
Different Grids in resources Price Profiles
I see a different Breakdown/Grids in a different resources price profiles, how is this possible? This should be all the same. There are different percentages for Internal 95-99% for example. In a just signed up resource this is 30% but in an older resources profile its 20%. Please check this asap.
It is more than possible.
Firstly, because different vendors have different rates. TM rates can be different too.
If your question is why your particular vendors have different TM rates, it is most probably because they were added at different stages and you modified the default rates in the meantime. If you do that, already existing vendors' rates do not update, but the newly created vendors will get the new defaults. You can always change them per vendor after all.
Can Classic and Smart modules be used simultaneously?
We have a dilemma because for some of the clients the simpler layout of Smart projects would work better, but for some clients it makes more sense to stay in the Classic projects module due to their complexity.
Is it possible to use both modules simultaneously and would it in any way limit or affect VM and reporting functionality?

You can use both project management modules in your system at the same time, there's no problem with that.
Most of the Task-based reports should also work fine with Smart projects, it depends on the particular report, what filters are applied. Smart and classic projects have a different structure so it may happen that in some cases reports will require some tune-up.

Hi Marcela
You can reopen a project that has been invoiced. The status of the project and invoicing run in parallel and one does not bloc the other in XTRF.
There's just one thing if the project was already invoiced the modification of the Receivables will be not possible.
But aside from that, everything else should work just fine.
