How to invoice to a different client after the project is closed
We're having some trouble invoicing to some of our clients because sometimes we have a main client that orders the services and at the end of the month, this client send us a list in which we can find all the information about what project belongs to what client (they have 6 different companies, with different addresses and different VAT numbers).
Any idea on how to change the client in the invoicing phase once the project is closed?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi Ainhoa,
I'm not sure if this is different when working with Smart projects., but we handle this situation by grouping the customers in a client group. You can link Offices for the main client under Customer > Main Data > Offices. When the customers are linked in this way, it is possible to change the client in the invoice stage to one of the other Offices in the invoice's Client Data section.

SMS to Vendors
We want to start using the integrated text message service, but I have a few questions.
Can we send SMS from the vendor's profile or only from quotes/projects/invoices? We'd like to be able to contact our vendors to check their availability for potential projects.
I understood that only templates can be used, but can I create my own templates? I don't have credentials for opening / editing templates.

Possible to have multiple default calculation units?
Is it possible to have a few calculation units which can be considered "default"? We have several different jobs which have mutually exclusive calculation units, so it would be helpful for there to be a ranking order of default calculation units so that all jobs/receivables have the correct one by default to make setting up POs and receivables quicker.

How do you set system to send a reminder to vendor when deadline is close?
Somehow it is sending the XTRF administrator a reminder and not the Vendor. Also, administrator is receiving an email notification when the client deadline is close, even though projects are closed.

How do you reopen a job to add a PO number?

At the moment, when a vendor uploads the deliverables to the portal and presses the 'I finished the job' button, the project on XTRF is automatically closed. This happens when the job is the last step of the workflow. How do you disable this? As I would like the project to still be opened since I need to check files and also if it has been closed I couldn't find a way to enter new details such as a PO number (which sometimes is delivered to us after the job is finished). Currently, the system is not set to send files automatically to clients.

Files not being shared automatically between jobs
Hi,
So I'm having this problem where I have to manually share files from one job to the next one, even though on the right panel I have written down the XX will receive jobs from XX for example and XX will send files to XX. Am I missing something? It's very annoying to keep doing so manually. I'm assuming there is some setting that I missed, however it is still very misleading that the system is telling you that it will be sharing files automatically and it doesn't..

The problem is that categories in this process are not consistent. Which means that if Translator uploaded CAT package (return) there was no way of sharing it with the editor automatically.

Displaying Office Mage rights with a method
I'm trying to create a virtual column/macro for a Customer Contact Person whether they have Customer Portal access, can they access multiple offices in the portal, and which kind of Manage Rights they have (Default Office, Department...)
I can get the access status with canLogInToCustomerPortal() and the offices with isAssociatedWithManyCustomers()
However, the method canManageOnlyRelated() does not work. Is there a work-around to see which kind of rights the Contact Person has?

Custom templates modification (BIRT 4)
Hi,
is there anybody who customized templates (invoice or any other) on their own? If so, how did you look up names of data fields you are displaying in the report?
In the past, we used to be able to switch UI language to "XX_ localization" which was displaing codenames.

2. why can't i delete them? (i am testing the system and need to delete some of projects)
3. i am testing how the project creation works, and i haven't this window when making the project:
- In the Select Client Price Profile pop-up window find client with a price profile you are interested in:
- You can select a price profile from a list on the right-hand side.
- If you have a lot of entries on your Client Price Profile list, you can use the search on the left-hand side to narrow the displayed entries.
- When you select the required price profile the Select Client Price Profile pop-up window closes and the data are provided in the Client field and the Client Price Profile section.
4. why when adding the project from EN to 4 languages (RU, LT, LV, ET), i can add only one translator? I need to add 4 different translators for each subproject.
5. i can't find where to add prices of each language pair (client is with added price profile and i think it should be automatically set after adding word count, no?
