Mid-project process changes

I have a project into FR, DE, IT and NL. I had planned to use a TEP provider for the translation into NL. Their delivery was too late for the client. I placed the translation and proofreading step with two freelancers (outside of XTRF because I couldn't find a way to add the NL freelancers).


I'm using a process fork and the FR, DE and IT providers have already accepted. How do I update the steps in the workflow to accommodate the NL freelancers?

Gmail password change

Hello, I had to recently change my email password. This email account is connected to XTRF and therefore I can no longer send my invoices or estimates out from the XTRF platform. Where can I indicate the new password on the XTRF platform? I am signed in as the Admin.

Project with status "Complaint" do not appear in Dashboard

Hello, we noticed that projects that have status "complaint" do not appear in the Dashboard any more, as they used to. And we are not sure why, since all this time we thought that if the project has a status "complaint" it's opened, not closed. So it should appear in the Dashboard where all opened (current) projects are.

What should a vendor do if they cannot remember their username?

I have a vendor who is set up in XTRF but they cannot remember their username. Could you please advise on steps they should take to recover it? They have tried their "first name.last name" and email address as their usernames, but neither one worked.

Arabic in the email justified the entire email template

We just noticed that when XTRF sends emails to vendors which use Arabic, the entire template gets justified to the right making the email look odd. Is there a way to consider setting up our templates so languages such as Arabic or Hebrew don't make our emails look off?

XTRF Suddenly Not Sending Email Notifications

Exporting Importing Vendor Price Profiles / Not a standard format

I'm wondering if anyone else had this issue.


We have a few in-house vendors and most of them have different services and languages in their price profiles, so they are mostly unique. But we have a few that are identical. So, I needed to add an identical price profile for a new vendor, and we decided to export it from in-house vendor A, and import it into new in-house vendor B. 


Here's the issue we came across...


I exported the price list from vendor A. However, when I went to import this list into vendor B, I realized that XTRF exports data in a different format than what it imports. So, I needed to manually split out source and target languages, update language names to match how it's listed in the system, add fields, change field names...


Not a huge deal, and not something that we come across everyday, but it made what could have been a 3 minute task take me 15 minutes.


Two questions.


1) Duplicating price profiles for vendors. Is there a better way than exporting and importing them? Did I take the long way around? Is there a better way?

2) To my XTRF friends, this isn't a huge priority, but I'd love to see standardized exporting and importing across the system. I don't think it elevates to a high level request, but if you are working in these areas, rolling out a standardized export import process would be nice. :)

Is it possible to update client invoice payment dat via API?

Hi I can't find any function in the API docs to add client invoice payments. But Xtrf and Quickbooks have an integration so it should be possible via code. Having this functionality would be great for us.



Answer

XTRF 8 allows for parametrized macros via API. That is the only known way to add clients payments.

The integration with QuickBooks is a hard-coded one that bypasses the API.

How to add more than a service to a quote o projecte?

Hello everybody!


Is there any way to add more than one service to the same quote/project?

We have a file that needs to be half translated and half revised so I need to be able to add 2 services when creating the quote.
