Macro (periodic job) for creating one invoice per one task
Hello everyone,
Has any of you investigated if there is a possibility to run a macro on a specific view, that would add 1 invoice per 1 task? I am looking for this solution because very often we have 1 project, 1 language combination, but many tasks (for example 1 task per 1 document - this is a clients requirement) and we need to invoice per document (per task). And I am looking for an automation. Unfortunately the periodic job that is currently available offers something opposite (it can be also useful) because it lets you add 1 big invoice per all tasks, and you can specify by Client or by Contact Person. But it's still just 1 big invoice, instead of many small invoices.
I assume that if we can add manually 1 invoice per 1 task, the macro should be able to do (replicate) the same, I am just not sure how to do that.
If anyone came already to a solution, I would be very grateful for sharing it.
Thanks!
Monika
New/AT = Automatic Translation ?
Hello,
is someone having issues with this fields?
it appears in all our quotes and project confirmation and we have to delete it manually or explain to the client that we are not using machine translation without his consent.
Would you remove AT from the CAT grids?
Yes, this is because of the new analysis grid in Studio 2017+. You need to modify the templates.
Is it possible to share Client feedback view with PMs without sharing all Business Reports?
Could not find separate Client feedback section in User rights management.
The post form Marianna below reminded me that should work of user group has this ISO section selected.
I'm sorry it's known. it's not intuitive, the Client feedback functionality evolved from another system functions which was related to ISO and the user group rights keep the old naming.
Upgrade to XTRF 8.1. Your feedback, experience so far? Any new bugs?
Hi,
We will be upgrading our XTRF from 8.0 to 8.1 and are wondering, if someone could share their experience with 8.1 so far. Were there any new bugs introduced, is there something we should be careful about? Something we should look forward to? :) Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
Kind regards,
Peter
Which server solution do you recommend?
We are currently using Version 5 and in the process of upgrading to the current version.
At the moment we are runningXTRF on a dedicated server with 4GB of Ram. However, the current version requires 16 GB of ram.
Our options seems to be:
- Install our own server
- Continue with dedicated server
- Use private virtual server
Which of the above options do you recommend and why? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Kind regards

Payment reminder sent date
Hello,
I thought this might have been asked before but could not find any relevant topics.
So, when sending payment reminders manually, we would find it useful to have a field showing when the last payment reminder was sent for that invoice. I could not find any such field in the Invoices view and I see there is no way to add a custom field on an Invoice scope.
Has anyone dealt with that before? Did you find any workarounds?
Provider selection rules (smart): how to show specific (non default) price profile?
Does anyone have a clue on how to make specific price profiles show up in the result list after applying a specific provider selection rule? Many of our providers have different price profiles with different prices (rates, match matrix,...) , but right now only the default price profile shows up in the list of the selection rule.
We are currently using views to get the list of providers we want, but we're looking for a more fluent solution.
Two potentials solutions to overcome our problem are 1) make adding categories and/or custom fields on price profile level possible or 2) enable filtering on price profile names in the configuration of the provider selection rules.
Bonus question: anyone upgraded to XTRF 8.1 yet?
Create payables from receivables macro
Hi,
I'm trying to create a macro that creates a payable for every receivable in the project. The problem is that $tmSavingsFactory.createTMSavings() is always returning null. Is this the right approach? Thanks in advance.
#set($service = $utils.getService("com.radzisz.xtrf.service.ActivityService"))
#set($service2 = $utils.getService("com.radzisz.xtrf.service.TMSavingsService"))
#set($catTool = $service2.getAvailableCatTools()[0].catTool)
#set($tmSavingsFactory = $utils.createInstance("com.radzisz.xtrf.service.chargeTmSavings.TmSavingsForChargeFactory"))
#foreach( $project in $utils.unwrap(${list}) )
#foreach($task in $project.tasks)
#set($tf = $task.projectFinance)
#foreach($r in $tf.catReceivables)
#foreach($activity in $task.activities)
#set($rates = $activity.providerPriceProfile.getTmRates($catTool))
#set($tmSavings = $r.TmSavings)
#set($tmSavingPayable = $tmSavingsFactory.createTMSavings($tmSavings, $rates))
#set($payable = $service.createActivityCatPayable($activity))
$payable.updateTmSavings($tmSavingPayable)
$activity.addCATPayable($payable)
#end
#end
#end

Finding vendors who've selected ALL of the specializations for any of their language combinations and services?
Vendors are responsible for entering their own specializations in their XTRF profile when they apply to work with us. Unfortunately, this has led to confusing and incorrect information in our system because many vendors have selected ALL of the specializations for their language combinations and services. Now we're trying to identify exactly which of our vendors have done this so we can clean up their profiles.
We created a special view in the Vendors section of XTRF and specified that the Specialization should be "is all of..." and then checked ALL of the available specializations. Our view yielded 78 Active vendors. However, when we started spot-checking the profiles, we noticed that some of them only include several specializations across all their language combinations and services, NOT the whole list of all the specializations we selected in the view.
How can we find the vendors in our system who have selected ALL of the specializations for any of their language combinations and services?
XTRF 8 - Stability issues - I wish we could go back to version 6
After some months of using XTRF 8 after version 6, our experience is that this is a huge leap backwards in terms of usability, stability and reliability.
Some functionality we liked in version 6 is broken, while we don't really get any usable new functionality in return (except the Erase personal data button, which was used once in the last 3 months).
I really wish we could downgrade...
Do you experience the same?
