Three productivity / time saving development ideas
From one of my project managers...
1. Price Profiles on the payable window
ISSUE: If a vendor has multiple price profiles (for example, one regular profile and one discounted for a specific client), NO rate populates when you're entering payables (shows $0.00).
SUGGESTION: Add a dropdown list ON the payable window to select the applicable profile, and then the rate pops up.
TIME SAVINGS: When we add a payable and realize that the vendor has multiple profiles, We then have to open a new page, look up the vendor, go to the applicable price profile, find the rate for that language/service, then go back and manually enter the rate.
2. Uploading Translated Document should select target language (at least if there is only one)
ISSUE: When you add files, the source document shows up with the source language you have already selected for the project:
Great. But when you change it to Translated Document, why does the language change to "Any"? Why wouldn't it switch to the target language?
Only a slight annoyance but really frustrating when you're uploading entire batches and have to select the target language for EACH file.
3. Select all option for file uploads
Speaking of the above, it would be wonderful to have a "select all" option in the file upload box, for the same reason -- every time we upload a larger batch of files, we have to select the Category and Language for each file (10 files = 20 separate selections). Of course we zip files when possible, but it's not always possible when splitting up jobs/files among multiple vendors.
Pac Man?
Is there supposed to be a pac man game in XTRF when we log in? Our team wants to make sure the system wasn't hacked!

Password Reset e-mail is sent twice
Hi! We are planning to open the Client Portal to our clients soon and are looking at how to best welcome them to the portal.
Many of our clients have only one contact person and that contact person has the same e-mail address that is set as the e-mail address for the main account. Now when either of those accounts requests a password change, it gets sent twice (to the contact person and to the main account). This is confusing to client. Also confusing to me is how there are two separate users with the same e-mail (which is used for log-in), but they still have separate passwords (I was told this by XTRF).
How did you deal with this when you started with the Client Portal?

Is it possible to set up a custom note for all providers to see in Vendor Portal once they log in?
Like for example about the server down time.
I searched the guides and found HTML notes in Settings -> CRM - is that the right place? Where is that message going to be displayed?

I was wondering how you handle query management and if anybody has built/used a layer over XTRF? I'm specifically interested in cases where query volumes are unmanageable for solutions such as simple gsheets. Have you found any off-the-shelf solutions or built something from scratch?

Quote status, from Pending to Accepted without conversion to project?
Hello,
Right now it is not posible to change the Status of a Quote. For example from Pending into Accepted without converting into project.
Sometimes, our client needs a quote for admin purposes and they request it once the project it is already managed. So, our quote remains either Pending or Rejected.
Would you find useful the possibility to change the status of a quote from Pending into Accepted without converting into project?

Whatsapp API — Anyone?
Hello, folks.
I have been thinking lately about automating the vendor selection process though XTRF. The built-in feature works great, the only problem is that not many people receive email notifications in real time or check their email frequently (at least not frequently enough to accept an offer). Our PMs simply contact vendors through WhatsApp and present the offer to them. So, the WhatsApp Business API seemed like an interesting idea.
Has anyone thought about using it? How do you guys go about the process of contacting and assigning vendors to your projects?
XTRF: Is integrating WhatsApp to the vendor selection process a possibility? Maybe a custom integration?

Training video on how to use XTRF to share with suppliers
Hello everyone,
We are experiencing a few issues with XTRF.
1) DTP providers are classified as translators for all languages so they sometimes get translations requests. DTP should be added as a language or as a further service.
2) translators submit the invoice if the amount is 0 resulting in lost invoices. (especially with projects paid by target words).
3) it would be ideal to have a video from you guys where the functions of XTRF from a supplier's point of view are illustrated.
