Vendors can't see/edit their Minimum Charge?

Jan Sundström 7 years ago in Vendor Portal updated by Marcela 6 years ago 3

Hi all,

Vendors are confused regarding how they can enter or edit their standard Minimum Charge.
Our Vendor Manager can fill in this value on their behalf, but it seems that the field is not shown correctly in the Vendor Portal.
Is this intentional or a bug? It seems inconsistent that some rates are editable, but others are not even shown. To take the workload off the Vendor Manager, it would be useful if all price data was editable for the vendor (subject to approval of course).

I/O error while copying invoice file

Sol Lagomarsino 7 years ago in Vendor Portal updated 7 years ago 4

Hi,

We had a couple of vendors asking about an error message they get when trying to create a new invoice. Please note the screenshot below:

What does it mean? Everything seems okay on our end, and there is no mention of this in the Knowledge Base.

Thanks!

Integration with Trados - How do you use it?

Corrina Galetza 7 years ago in Home Portal / Classic Projects with CAT integration updated by Jussi Rautio 7 years ago 3

We saw that we can integrate XTRF with our Trados version. However, I noticed that there are some issues. We can only integrate local Trados (we have Groupshare on Cloud) and that the integration works only for classic projects, something that means we would still need to individually assign receivables and payables since the system (with classic projects) doesn't assign them automatically. Can you please share your experience with Trados integration into your XTRF system? What do you use it for?

[Rather trivial] How do you read "LISA"?

Dear English language enthusiasts!

I'm making a short tutorial about LISA vendor evaluation and have this rather trivial doubt.

Should I pronounce "LISA" just like a name (as in Lisa Simpson) or rather ['laɪsə]  - because it's clearly not a name?

Thanks a lot :)

Set Office by API?

Cori Alcorn 7 years ago in API updated by Łukasz Kaleta (Senior Customer Success Manager) 7 years ago 2

I have been working on an API integration and I have looked all over the documentation and all I see in the API is in the Customer API it allows one to list the offices, but it doesn't allow you to set a parent office ID or anything when you are creating a new Customer from the Home Portal API. Does anyone know if I am missing something and there is some way to set parent office of new or existing customers?

Adding items to invoice

Dennis Rosenbaum 7 years ago in Home Portal updated by Łukasz Kaleta (Senior Customer Success Manager) 7 years ago 3

When we add items to an invoice with the button (add an item for each receivable) we expect that all the discounts will be used within the invoice items. In stead the discount is set to 0%. Could you explain why this is?

Answer

You can apply the discounts on several levels.

If you applied it on the Total Agreed of the Task, it will not be visible on the invoice items, if you use the option [add an item for each task receivable].

If you, however discount a particular item (let's say Translation, but not Proofreading), using this option to create invoice items makes sense and the discounts should be visible.

Development : provider evaluation system

SBWC 7 years ago in Home Portal updated by Łukasz Kaleta (Senior Customer Success Manager) 7 years ago 1

Hi,

The current evaluation system of the 5 stars rating is simple, however following an ISO audit our auditor thought it was lacking in terms of depth of information. Even if we now add comments, would it be possible to have not just one criteria of evaluation, but also other criteria like:

 - time to deliver

 - business relationship

 - quality of translation

Is this kind of development possible?

While keeping a general rating, being able to break it down would allow more insight.

Maybe, since the LISA evaluation exist, would it be simpler to set up specific criteria within LISA?

Can I generate a list of contact persons that we've done work for recently?

Wouter van den Berg 7 years ago in Something Else updated by Bogusław Reich (XTRF Product Owner) 5 years ago 14

For holiday card purposes, I would like to have the names (and, why not, the addresses) of our recent customer contacts. By definition that would be the ones we did projects (or tasks) for during 2017. I can't see ways to filter contacts by date of work provided for them. Or by any other date or time fields, or project related fields. Has anyone been coping with the same issue, and would you have any suggestions?

Ha, found a workaround I'd like to share with you:

In Projects, create a new view, adding columns for Client, Contact Person Display Name (or First Name and Last Name or whatever you like), as well the address fields. Yes, they're all there! Filter by project start date or any other time indicator.

Of course, you'll have many duplicates, as for most clients and contacts you will have multiple projects. But once exported to Excel, you can easily remove duplicates (this is done in the Data ribbon; click Remove Duplicats and choose the select contact person and customer columns). Of course, you also want to remove columns with fields that are not relevant for your mailing, such as project ID or whatever you had in your view.

And voilà, an Excel list with recent contacts with their company name and addresses, that you can use to print labels with Word or a dedicated program.
