Close and reopen buttons for service desk tickets

Angelo 6 years ago in Something Else updated by Łukasz Kaleta (Senior Customer Success Manager) 6 years ago 2

If I could close and reopen my tickets without having to tell someone to do it for me, it would save a lot of time and emails.

Answer

Thank you for this suggestion, Angelo, I am marking this as a Service Desk Improvement Idea and will take this into consideration during our periodic process review.

Tracking progress of jobs

Michal Shinitzky 7 years ago in Something Else 0

Hello,

Is there a way of tracking the progress of jobs (either as a progress bar or just as a percentage display), so we can see at what stage each project is ?(if it has been started and what percentage of the job has been completed).

If not, is there a way to alert the PMs in 50% of the scheduled time has passed and the vendor hasn't completed 50% of the job?

thanks!

Various language variants considered as one language

J_N 2 years ago in Something Else updated by Thijs Senten 2 years ago 1

Dear All,

is there any setting in XTRF that would make the system considered language variants of one language being the same language actually? We now have for example EN, EN-US, EN-GB variants but in general they all mean English. Still, if the vendor registers only one of the variants, they are not listed as a potential linguists for a job with different variant. This makes the process bit clumsy. Is there a way to fix it?

Thank you

Follow-up quality of vendors and categories update

carolina lainez 4 years ago in Something Else 0

I would like to implement a process to keep track on vendors quality and update their categories as long as we work with them. Is there a way to define rules so XTRF suggests updates based on specific criteria/algorithm? If not, can you advise how do you follow-up on quality of your vendors? Any tips out there? Many thanks in advance.

Hackathon anyone?

Bartosz Budzyński 5 years ago in Something Else updated by Sancho Leath 5 years ago 6

Hi!

As some of you may already know, XTRF Summit will take place September 5-6 in Kraków, Poland. Please visit https://summit.xtrf.eu/ for more information regarding the Summit itself (we'll be happy to answer on UserEcho as well if you have any questions regarding the event or you can use dedicated email address: summit@xtrf.eu).

We know that there're people in our Community who code - we've seen amazing things build around XTRF by either you or the developers working with you. We're wondering if there would be any interest in fun-and-learn hackathon with our dev team a day before the main event (4th of September).

Please let us know if you'd like to visit our office and hack together something cool - write a comment below if you're in!

What is the best way to test BIRT templates?

Thijs Senten 6 years ago in Something Else updated by Łukasz Kaleta (Senior Customer Success Manager) 6 years ago 4

We have been working on our own document templates which is going fine. However, the way we test them now is to upload them into XTRF and do a preview. This is quite tedious when we need to often test if something works. Is this really the only way to test the templates, or does anyone have a better way?

Branch filtering for Vendor Invoices

Allie Lanham 7 years ago in Something Else updated by Łukasz Kaleta (Senior Customer Success Manager) 7 years ago 1

It would be great if the vendor invoices could be filtered by branch like the client invoices.

I find that all of the client features in XTRF have more filtering capabilities available than the vendor side does.

Running a macro from another macro

Rachias 5 months ago in Something Else updated by Bartosz Gumula 4 months ago 1

Hi

I want to know how to run one macro from another macro with parameters?

I have been able to run a macro from another macro using the MacroService methos runMacro(list, macro), but it only returns bytes and can't take parameters.

So far I've been looking at the MacroService trying to run a MacroRequest both sync and async. The sync just fails the macro, but working with the ActionEntry from the async method hasn't worked either. Here I've tried to use the class SpringAsynchActionAdapter to create an AsynchAction using

SpringAsynchActionAdapter.create(actionEntry, com.radzisz.xtrf.service.macro.ExecuteMacroAction, macroRequest);

With this I get an AsynchAction which I can execute, but it just fails.

I have been seeing some stuff regarding the services to use @Autowire, but I can't seem to get it to work with XTRF.

I hope any of you will be able to help me. Thank you!

Multiple source same target in one quote - is there a setting?

stacey 7 months ago in Something Else 0

Hello there,

I work on projects where we have multiple source languages to the same target language and vice versa.

I've seen one of my vendors can do all of this on XTRF in one quote, however I only have the setting of one source to mutiple target (one to many) and not many to one.

Can anyone help with how we'd customize this please?

We have a MemoQ integration based on one to many too.
