Change specialisation in Smart projects client portal requests

Hi,

Whe get quite a lot of requests from the client portal and the clients often indicate a completely incorrect specialisation. Currently we can't change it in the home portal.

Is there any way to change it?

Ok, so a quick solution is to change the quote status from Requested to Pending. It unlocks the languages & specialization dropdowns.

Not pretending this is a proper answer to your question - why do your clients pick the incorrect Specialization in the first place? Don't you want to limit the available options to avoid that?

Well, because they don't really understand the consequenses :)

They often just pick the industry of their company. For instance we have a client in the IT industry and they have a commercial text, they still indicate IT.

@Robrecht, we see this as a challenge as well and actually thought it would be great if you could turn off the Specialization field in the Client Portal (perhaps only for some clients and not for others) to give the PM more control of this setting.

I agree with this. I actually find that the specialization field for clients and quotes is often more confusing than helpful.

You can actually achieve this yourself with the new request form and a little creativity.

Well that doesn't work for projects requested, only for quotes.

We've had the same problem and introduced a new custom field for PM specialization. Though the downside is that when the prices are loaded through a Price List, it doesn't pick the correct one.
