Memsource Integration - Project Templates not displaying in the Workflow template?

Kenneth Larmer 6 years ago in Home Portal / Classic Projects with CAT integration updated by Marek Joniec (XTRF Product Manager) 6 years ago 4

We are testing Memsource and created a project template in the platform. The integration with XTRF and Memsource is fully operational.

However, when I open the workflow template, "CAT Tool" tab, the Memsource project template is not displayed in the "Project Template" dropdown menu.

Anyone any ideas what I am missing?

Thanks in advance.

You need to go to the Memsource integration settings in the configuration. Then click the Update button next to Cached Data, then Save. After that, your template should be visible.

You'll need to do this every time you create a new Memsource template, otherwise it won't show up in the dropdown.

If you're like us, it won't be long until you have a VERY long list of templates ;-)

Hi Thijs,

Thank you so much for your response. That worked perfectly. Very much appreciated.

How are finding Memsource and the XTRF integration? We are using SDL Trados Studio as well, but from what I have seen so far, Memsource is much much better.

It looks like the project templates extend the reach and power of the integration. Is that correct?

Thanks again for your help.

Kind regards,

Kenneth

Hi Kenneth,

Glad that it worked for you!

We are using the Memsource integration with 99% of our projects and it works quite well actually. There are the occasional hiccups, but mostly they can be solved by simply reloading the page in XTRF.

For us, templates are essential, because they provide the easiest way to include all required project settings for Memsource. The only drawback is that we tend to create a LOT of templates and that makes it harder to find the one you're looking for in the dropdown. Currently we're trying to find a balance between using MS templates and XTRF's own resource allocation rules.

There is a separate topic on Memsource on the product development ideas forum with more details. Feel free to add your upvotes & own insights there: https://xtrf.userecho.com/communities/1/topics/445-memsource-integration
