Needed development : to get a notification (either within the system or via email) when a vendor leaves a note about a project in their vendor portal.
Many of our translators will leave comments/notes relating to projects , via their vendor portal. Because of the large amount of projects we have daily, it's not possible to be checking all the projects to see if anyone has left a note. It will be much faster, easier and more convenient, if the PMs were to receive a notification when someone leaves a note.

There is a topic on the Ideas forum, very similar to this. So first of all, such request should be posted in that forum, because it's not a question, but a request. Secondly, I really suggest searching through forum before post, because the more upvotes - the bigger chance we'll realize the project. And dividing it into two won't help.

- the new e-mail notification will be added - E-mail/Text Message to User: When notes for PM have been updated in Smart Project
- you will be able also to add placeholders to your e-mail to choose which notes should be attached
Could this be moved to the Ideas forum? I simply want an email notification when a vendor leaves a note in classic projects, not necessarily the new chat feature. Is this a customization we could get, if it won't be available as a standard option eventually?

When a vendor leaves a note in a classic project, you get that along with your e-mail notification that the job was finished.
There is the information displayed about notes from a vendor in the project, task and job section in the home portal:

We have many languages/vendors (sometimes 55+), so it's time consuming to check into each job for a possible note. If this display info could let us know which job specifically, that would be a helpful improvement. I actually had never even noticed that note on the project level, but will start paying attention! Looks like using a view like what Donna mentioned in response to my question a while back and checking it when that notification info appears on a project is the best solution for now.
