Hi, 
How is the default Sales Person specified for a new client?
And is it possible to specify this somewhere for all new clients?

Hi, I think by default the signed-in user is both the PM and the salesperson for the client they create. You cannot specify something different anywhere in the settings unless yo use a macro.

Yes, it is possible; we have done it. 
Client profile->Sales Data -> Salesperson responsible & Project Manager responsible

You can define both. 

You can also change with the batch operation for multiple clients: 

Mark all clients you want to make the change on-> Multiple Change- Main Data and find Sales Person Responsible & Project Manager Responsible -> Set -> chose for both the persons responsible

Thank you for this information. 

For existing clients, I suspect that the "Admin" details are entered for the salesperson and then PM in the client record.
Our "Admin" details were changed recently and these details also seem to have been changed in the existing client records. I fixed this by exporting the clients, updating the details and importing them again.

It would be better to be able to specify these defaults though.
