XTRF - Memsource Integration: Splitting files

Hi XTRF team,
Is the following scenario possible with XTRF / Memsource integration?
1. I create a project in XTRF with just 1 file uploaded and 1 job created
2. It is pushed to Memsource via integration
3. I split the file in Memsource and assign to 2 vendors
4. 2 jobs are created in XTRF and the vendors are assigned?

This is unfortunately not possible. The integration is one-way, from XTRF to Memsource, so any additional jobs created or split off in Memsource are not taken into account in XTRF.
We tend to avoid splitting files in Memsource for this reason. If we do it anyway, we create an additional out of workflow job in XTRF and assign that to the extra vendor, for administrative reasons, with the explicit instructions to also mark the job completed in Memsource. So, for that part, there is no integration. At the same time, you'll need to instruct the vendor on the original workflow job to only mark the job as partially completed in XTRF when they are finished. If they mark is as fully complete, the integration will push the entire job to the next workflow step, including the split off part that was assigned to the other vendor. We have learned this the hard way.
In general, it's often easier to simply cut up the file in different pieces and set up separate workflows for them.

As Thijs mentioned, we do not support slicing files in any of our integrations right now (15.10.2021), which includes memsource.
