Redesign of Document templates editor
Hello XTRF,
can we please learn details about the planned redesign of document templates editor announced in the December 2019 Looking ahead to 2020 blog?
Answer
Dear Michal,
We still believe we will be able to deliver this by the end of this year. The date is not yet but if we will be ready to announce it, we will make sure everyone gets the information!
Best regards,
Bartosz
Hi Bartosz,
kindly, please, update us on the earlier planned changes of the document editor. If there is not a date set, could we expect it rather in 1st or 2nd half of 2021 if at all?
Thanks, Michal
Hi Michal. We had to switch our priorities for the second half of 2020, so the development of the new editor got postponed, unfortunately. It is still on our roadmap though, and we want to resume the works in Q1 2021. Currently, we're aiming for the summer with the release.
I also think this issue should have priority, Not all companies have internal javascript knowledge.
It would be a great relief if you'd make it easier for your customers to edit templates.
Thanks for the update Boguslaw, we are really looking forward to a more flexible tool to work with.
Hi Boguslaw, I am back checking whether you were able to resume work on the new document templates editor in Q1 as foreseen back in winter. Is the new editor release still planned for summer of 21?
Hi Michal, I asked Bogus the same question recently, and here was his answer:
[BR] This development had to be put on hold because of our other commitments. But I’m happy to inform you that we are resuming our work on it in Q2 2021, with the plan to have it ready in Q3.
Hi David, thanks for sharing the updated plans!
Looks, like we are not the only one looking forward to a more flexible template editor.
Just wondering if the new document templates editor is still forthcoming? That is one of the attractive features of Plunet.
Great timing with the question, actually :) Yes, it's coming very soon - in v9.2, for which we've just started the stabilization phase. Watch out for the release notes that will be published early next week as a heads-up on our other forum.
We still need a couple of weeks to prepare the final release version, but it's definitely the last curve.
