What’s coming
Explore the new features coming soon to XTRF
This summer, you are going to:
- Welcome the Job Offers App that will help you to automate vendor selection on a new level:
- Create different and unique strategies for finding vendors according to your preferences and job requirements.
- Automatically send job offers to the appropriate candidates.
- Automate the negotiations with vendors within the XTRF Chat.
- Compare the vendors’ proposals and select the best one.
To learn more about the new app, download our XTRF Guide to Job Offers App.
- Become an admin of the XTRF Chat. A new admin role will be introduced along with the dedicated Workspace admin panel. In this panel, admin users will be able to:
- manage existing users
- check the status of the available apps
- enable and disable the test mode.
- Benefit from the Project Groups API. Those who are already using the Project Groups feature will be able to apply the desired automations. Those who don’t are welcome to try our (now fully functional) Project Groups.
This autumn will bring you:
- Better Smart projects. You will be able to:
- Create projects without specified service or client.
- Freely change the project’s service and client in open projects.
- Add, edit, copy, and remove CAT tool-integrated steps.
- Link CAT tool-integrated steps with any job type and map them to any workflow step in the corresponding CAT tool.
- Process types. They will determine whether a Smart process or process template can be used in integration with a specific CAT tool and help you to create CAT tool-integration processes with no risk of mixing up steps from different CAT tools.
- Smart projects’ integration with Phrase TMS. Within this integration, you will be able to create fully functional multilingual projects in Phrase TMS from XTRF.
- No change in exchange rate synchronization. In response to your requests, we will keep the synchronization with the European Central Bank and Polish National Bank. The only thing that will change is the underlying mechanism of the synchronization.
The XTRF v.10.0 release will mean some major changes:
- New Client Portal. Those who are looking for a better client experience will be able to switch to the new Client Portal. What to expect?
- Clients will be able to run projects directly from the Client Portal
- All source files will be visible on the Client Portal
- All types of custom fields will be available on the Client Portal
- More settings will be accessible for clients (interface language, dates, and number formatting).
And on top of that - fresh, modern, and user-friendly interface with better customization options.
- XTRF’s switch to Java 17. It’s high time we move forward along with Java versions, so the whole foundation of our system has to be updated. Such a migration requires a lot of work from our development team; therefore, no new features will be coming in that release. Nevertheless, we expect improved memory efficiency as well as better error management and crash diagnosis.

Hi!
I have a question about the Job Offers app, is there an option to make sure that the following job excludes vendors from the previous job?
The scenario I have in mind is to avoid sending the offer for proofreading when someone is already a translator.
We are very excited to see that cascading vendor selection is on the roadmap, but the fact that it goes through XTRF Chat seems to limit its potential.
For the Job Offers app, will the vendors still receive an email notification for new offers, or will they need to keep the XTRF vendor portal open in a window to check the chat regularly? If there is no email notification, this seems to limit the number of vendors we can reach, making it more challenging to get responses in a timely manner.
When XTRF Chat was first launched, we tested it, but ultimately we didn't want to use it because:
Have any solutions been provided for these points?
