How to get CAT analyses from memoQ automatically

When you enable Automatic CAT Analyses, retrieving analysis files from a CAT tool to XTRF is done without the user's intervention.

The automation produces the same results as selecting all remote Bilingual Documents in a given Smart Project manually and clicking Get CAT Analysis option (click to learn more about retrieving CAT analyses manually). The automation works only if a memoQ-integrated Process has been selected and if the Smart Project in question has been linked with a project in memoQ.

The automation is triggered every time when:

  1. New remote Bilingual Document appears in a project, or
  2. New remote Translation Memory appears in a project.

The word "remote" above refers to files available in the CAT tool project (not necessarily imported through the integration).

When uploading a batch of files, retrieving CAT analyses is postponed until all queued files are imported to memoQ. If you upload another batch of files while the previous batch is still being processed, Automatic CAT Analyses will be postponed until all files from all batches are imported. The automation behaves the same also when synchronization between memoQ and XTRF is run in the middle of the files import.

When 'on', the automation always analyses all remote Bilingual Documents for all language combinations in a Project, even if some of them have already been included in previously-run analyses. If you need an analysis only for certain documents, you need to run it manually.

The Automatic CAT Analyses automation is set up per Service, but also per Project. Enter the Project, go to the 'Files' Card, click on the Image 1509 Automatic Configuration icon and click on the toggle switch to turn Automatic CAT Analyses on or off.
